Franklin Graham’s Points Highlighted
by Pete Coker
Last October (2013), Forbes magazine declared that Russian President, Vladimir Putin, was now the most powerful man in the world. This, of course, fits exactly with the philosophy of President Barak Obama’s foreign policy worldview; that America is no better than any other nation in the world. With this attitude now being well known to foreign leaders, it should not surprise us that at least one leader would step-up to claim the world’s moral high-ground. Russian President Vladimir Putin has stepped-up to claim the position of moral superiority.
In 2013 President Putin signed a law protecting children (minors) from homosexuals promoting a homosexual lifestyle directed at children. The law specifically bans the “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations to minors.” President Putin further explained the law by saying, “We have a ban on the propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia.”
Even though President Putin pointed-out that this would not affect gay and lesbian participation in the Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia, the American media and liberal activists were outraged that the Olympics were going to be held in such an intolerant culture. The fact that President Putin made a stand to protect children from homosexual and pedophile propaganda sparked hotspots of worldwide controversy.
President Barak Obama’s American response to Putin’s law was to include as many homosexuals as he could in his official U.S. delegation to Sochi. This is how Obama makes a stand for morality — by shoving his immorality in the face of foreign leadership. Putin may be wrong about many things, but, is he wrong for protecting children from the propaganda and perversities of the homosexual and pedophile lifestyles? Putin did not quote the Bible per say, but he is acting out a biblical principle. Just as he had done during his 2012 presidential campaign; he met with church leaders in Russia and vowed to protect persecuted Christians around the world. He then acted out that principle by his support for the Assad regime in Syria. (Though Syria has many problems, it at least has a constitution that guarantees equal protection of its citizenry). President Obama, on the other hand, acts out his own morality with silly displays of immorality.
Early on in President Obama’s Administration, a foreign policy aid noted to the media that the top foreign policy goals for the Obama Administration would be promoting women’s abortion rights (worldwide eugenics) and promoting homosexual rights (including the promotion of all forms of sexual immorality) throughout the world. This was much overlooked at the time.
It is very sad that in Obama’s secular progressive America, that turning away from the biblical morality that our nation once sought as an enlightened standard, is now a virtue.
President Obama’s reaction to Putin strangely puts Putin on the moral high-ground and puts America lagging behind. This is logical and correct in humanist philosophy, but extremely dangerous for the future of world politics and policies. The world used to esteem America’s moral leadership, but President Obama is doing everything in his power to change that.
